Hunter Playbooks

A once-ordinary person who discovered they have a special destiny, and who has been given the power to accomplish it. The Chosen is good in a fight, with some weird powers.

A criminal turned titan investigator, haunted by their past and enemies. The Crooked is good in social situations and has a lot of contacts.

An agent of a higher (alien?) power, with a mission to fulfill. The Divine is very tough and has been granted uncanny powers.

An investigator who has studied the weirder aspects of the world. The Expert knows a lot of hidden secrets and how to find out more, and also has a well-supplied base to work from.

A conspiracy theorist. The Flake is great at finding things out and seeing how the events of separate mysteries are connected.

A detective or private eye with a connection to the supernatural, and a personal code that is always getting them into trouble. Great at solving mysteries.

A trained "magick" user familiar with ancient traditions. The Hex codifies their spells so they are more predictable. Excellent at magic.

A member of an ancient sect with access to equally ancient secrets. The Initiate is good in a fight and has some knowledge of the weird. Their Sect provides help (and sometimes problems).

A monster fighting for the survival of humanity. The Monstrous is very weird, and can have a variety of different powers based on their origin.

Just a normal regular person, especially good at dealing with regular people you meet and have to save, and at getting captured by antagonists (which can be more useful than you might expect).

An investigator in an unlikely romance with a titan. Your deep emotional bond with the monster gives you insights into the mystical.

You work in a professional capacity for an (usually governmental) organization that investigates titans, hyper-science, or other weird aspects of the world. The Professional is good in a fight, and a good team player.

A veteran of deception, at home with trickery and distraction. You’re good at dealing with people, but not necessarily in ways they will appreciate.

A journalist looking for the real story behind weird events. Great at finding stuff out, terrible at fighting.

A trained arcanist, wielding powerful "magic" in their crusade against the titans. The Spell-slinger’s arcane training gives them an advantage when dealing with eldritch secrets.

A scientist who is ready for action. This investigator may have some strange theories, but is always eager to do some field work. The field? Titanology.

An investigator with psychic or magical powers. These powers are strange and sinister ... and not completely under the Spooky’s control.

Revenge-driven, and really tough. The Wronged is all about killing titans and protecting others as you do it.

A lover of forbidden dishes made from the weird and often hazardous remains of defeated titans. The Groumand is part black market huckster and part alchemist.

A hero with a secret identity. The Super Hero uses powerful but dangerous technology to fight the enemies of humanity.

A tough-as-nails fighter. The Hard Case makes it a habit to survive against all odds. 

An expert hunter who has decided to hunt titans. The (Really) Big Game Hunter does it for the thrill of the hunt rather than the need to protect.

A crazy scientist who has seen the error of their ways and is now working for good. So they say, anyhow.

A built being, now free of its maker. The Constructed fights to defend humanity from the titans, despite their complicated past.

You were transported from the past in pursuit of a monster, and must learn to live in the modern world. 

A heroic masked wrestler, fighting to protect the innocent between matches. They bring with them strength, passion, and a flair for the dramatic

An investigator who practically worships another member of the team, and is good at helping them out. And one day, they’ll be just as good as their hero.

A creature summoned to end the world but who has decided they do not want to do that. Lots of weird powers, dangerous, and hard to kill.

This investigator has a connection to some (most likely supernatural) being who is their guide, protector, teacher, or other kind of kindred force who initiated them into the weird secrets of the world.

A high-school or college athlete who battles titans in their spare time. Just make sure you're not late for practice.

You’re the best around. There isn’t anyone around who can outclass you. It doesn’t matter if you lean on daddy’s fortune to get your way, if someone’s in your way they better know what they’re gonna get.

Immortals, Liches, Cursed, and Bound. Call them what you like, but they do not die, one way or another, and you’ve joined their ranks. Your immortality comes with a steep cost to your humanity. You can only hope to do as much good as possible before the payment comes due.

Titanology, radiobiology, hyper-dimensional panspermia... this investigator is interested in the stranger aspects of biology and the weird secrets that link life on Earth to the titans.

An investigator sent to the past to prevent a terrible disaster that ruins  your world. You’re brought to the modern world with only what you were carrying and the knowledge of a dark future only you can prevent.

An investigator who is cursed with foreknowledge of their own fate. The Doomed carries on regardless, seeking to do as much good as possible before their inevitable demise.

An investigator chosen by Mother Nature, Gaia, Pachamama, etc. to fight on behalf of the earth and all living creatures. Always recycles.

This investigator is employed by a major corporation. They have access to the resources of the company, but corporate red tape and politics might make things tricky.

The textbook stereotypical ‘crazy but powerful old person’. And yes, while you are very much a powerhouse, this comes at a cost: you are a flawed individual.

This investigator used to work for the government in "intelligence," but made enemies of the wrong people and got burned. If they can't keep their head down, their old employer may come calling.

A two-fisted cleric who kicks ass for the lord. They are good in a scrap and can draw on the resources provided by the institution they serve.

An investigator who is driven by a past encounter with a mysterious being. They are now on a quest for answers. 

This investigator is freaking famous! Sometimes that's good, sometimes, well, not so good. The Star comes with all the perks and the burdens of celebrity.

An adrenaline junkie who treats hunting titans as an extreme sport. This investigator is in it for the thrill and nothing else.

Studying titans is nothing new to this inevstigator. They've seen it all before and have a thing or two to teach these young upstarts.

A crack pilot with access to special Titan busting hardware. The Ace isn't just some shmuck with a big robot. They've trained and drilled to the point that their rig is an extension of themselves.

A wielder of powerful, but often uncontrollable, psychic abilities. The Mind Freak is trying to escape a dark past, and possibly the agents of whatever was the source of their powers.

An investigator from the past who has traveled from the past to the present day. You were transported from the past in pursuit of a titan, and must learn to live in the modern world. 

A young person who doesn't know much but does know there’s something more going on here, and old man Smithers seems to be involved!
